New Ambulances for the ER Service in the Republic of Moldova |
A new special project realized by EYECON MEDICAL took shape during spring 2014 when, on March 21st, there have been delivered 15 modern ambulances to the Health Ministry in the Republic of Moldova, with specialized medical equipment of last generation.
By its amplitude and its impact, this project is not merely an ambition of the involved parties to realize something qualitative imposed by normatives, but it is more of a human desideratum, that of significantly reduce mortality in cases of emergency, when ambulances are the first that can provide medical assistance to the critical patient. Thus, the ambulance becomes the first chance of survival for the person in need.
The car fleet of Emergency Medical Assistance Service in the Republic of Moldova counts at this moment a number of 378 ambulances, from a required number of 445, from which almost 80% are overdue and minimally equipped. The latest renewal of this fleet took place in 2003, while such renewal is necessary once in five years.
Fortunately, the Health Ministry started an ambitious project for the use of population and medical personnel, in which EYECON MEDICAL is the partner who produces, in the first stage of the project, 32 ambulances completely equipped, so that they provide a qualitative medical act. These ambulances not only will ensure a very fast transport to the hospital for patients, but they will be able to provide very efficient medical assistance during transportation, since they are equipped with all the necessary devices for difficult situations.
The novelty of this project consists in the fact that several of these ambulances are designed to offer medical assistance to the most vulnerable patients - premature new-borns and children. The incubators in these ambulances have typical characteristics and offer to the premature babies the same conditions as the stationary incubators, by creating an artificial environment very alike with the natural one in which a new-born can develop.
The 15 ambulances are going to be distributed as follows: 3 to the National Center of Scientific-Practical Emergency Medicine in Chisinau (two for "903" Service and one for Aviasan Service), 4 to the Emergency Medical Assistance Service - North Area Station, 4 to the Central Area Station, 3 to the South Area Station, and one for the Station in Gagauzia.
