THE UNIVERSITY CENTER FOR SIMULATION IN MEDICAL TRAINING (CUSIM) has been inaugurated on August 2013, in Chisinau, as a subdivision of "Nicolae Testemitanu" State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Republic of Moldova. The mission of CUSIM is to increase safety of medical procedures and of patients, by implementing modern methods of education and training based on simulation, so that superior medical competencies and abilities may be gained.
According to authorities in this field, CUSIM is going to become the most important high-performance simulation center in Eastern Europe, due to its large offer of medical training programs and also due to its complex scientific and didactic equipment.
It is well-known the fact that EYECON MEDICAL had been a trusted partner in many vanguard projects in Romania and Republic of Moldova, offering high-performance equipment for various medical facilities.
After several stages of this project developed in 2013 and 2014, Chisinau Center for Simulation is now hosting a wide range of high-quality medical equipment of European origin, delivered and installed by EYECON MEDICAL, among which we can mention:
- Ceiling pendant units for operating theater, that include medical gases outlets and electricity outlets; these pendants may have different configuration (one arm or two arms, with or without articulation), thus creating a large open space, for freedom of movement around the operating table;
- Simulator for surgery of the temporal bone - a unique device in the Republic of Moldova which represents a significant step ahead for specialized medical education regarding this kind of surgical intervention;

CUSIM was established at high standards, through European funding; it had got last generation medical equipment and includes several programs of internal medicine, surgery, anesthesiology, reanimathology, and also emergency. The beneficiaries may be students, resident physician, researchers, assistants, midwives, and other specialists trained for emergency assistance before hospitalization.
