Giulia is a complete neonatal nasal ventilation system which includes the latest technologies that allows non-invasive ventilation methods,
such as delivery of positive pressure synchronized with the infant’s own breathing (nSIMV si nSIPPV).
Non-invasive modes of ventilation should include the possibility of providing mechanical support in synchrony with the patient’s own respiratory efforts.
The improvement of nasal ventilation techniques permits the lowering of the rate of intubation in the population of preterm infants, thus reducing morbidity and costs.
Giulia is the only neonatal nasal ventilator that can be used on preterms, new-borns and young children,
who can now be treated with the most efficient and up to date ventilation techniques applied in a gentle way.
A sophisticated mathematical algorithm, running on the internal computer of the ventilator, is able to detect gas leakages through mouth and nose so
that the management of the main respiratory parameters, pressure and flow, is now possible even in an open system.
